Access change to HSE eLibrary resources from March 2026  

Due to changes in how browsers work, and GDPR / Data Protection requirements, HSE Library can no longer ensure that IP based access to resources will be secure and stable. From March 2026, access to eLibrary resources will be via library account login only. 

Your HSE Library account can be used to log in. 

Advantages of logging in: 

1. More secure and stable experience
2. You can access resources from anywhere 24/7/365 not just your work location 
3. You can use personalisation where these are offered like 
   1. UpToDate 
   2. Clinical Key 
   3. EBSCO services like Cinahl Complete, Health Business Elite, Greenfile and more. 

Access on wards or in labs

If you use a resource like UpToDate, Medicines Complete or Royal Marsden Manual on a shared computer, someone will need to log in for access.
