How long will it take for my requested item to arrive?

Answer

If your request is for an item (eg journal article) that can be delivered to you electronically (ie via email), we aim to supply your item within 3 working days.

If your request is for an item (eg a book) that has to be obtained from another library using the postal system, this will take longer and will depend on a number of factors including where we have to source the item for you, if it is already out on loan to another reader and how long the postal system takes for HSE Library to receive it and send it on to you.  If ordering a book, it is best to allow plenty of time for your book to arrive.

Please note: Some external libraries may require that you read the book on site and so we may not be permitted to allow you to take the book out of the library.
