Is borrowing an item on Inter-Library Loan different from an ordinary loan?

Answer

Borrowing using Inter-Library Loan means that the item is not available within the Health Library Ireland collection and has to be sourced from another library or library network like Trinity College Library or Subito.

The lending library sends the book or item to the HSE Library who will make it available to you for collection at the library you selected on the ILL form, ie destination library.

The book /item borrowed belongs to the lending library and their lending rules and regulations apply.
